Samya Ghosh

Samya currently leads AECOM’s Middle East and Africa transport planning team, in the capacity of Practice Director of Strategic Planning & Advisory (SP&A).

Samya has 29 years of experience in leading projects on varied aspects of transport planning, engineering, modelling and appraisal. He has a wide range of project experience related to policy, strategy formulation and detailed analytical planning, modelling and appraisal leading to implementation of schemes across various countries and continents. Samya has contributed towards the development of bespoke analytical and modelling tools and contributed to development of practice guidance on various aspects of transport planning/ modelling for different agencies in UK and Europe.

Samya is a steering committee member of the IMMO (Intelligent Mobility, Management and Operation) group, and a council member of the Association for European Transport (AET). Samya is also, the lead author of the recently published book “Modelling Pedestrian Movements” by ICE.
